Resurrecting Humanity: A Poetic Plea for Change by Sabiha Nehal Arzoo
Death of Humanity
Last year humanity died,
Many rejoiced, and very few cried.
Blood-stained bodies all around,
No safe haven on the ground.
No safe haven on the ground.
Love, joy, and peace snatched away,
A deadly silence is left to stay.
A deadly silence is left to stay.
No water to drink,
No food to eat.
No children to hug,
No families to greet.
No food to eat.
No children to hug,
No families to greet.
No mothers to dry the painful tears,
No fathers to chase away the fears.
No fathers to chase away the fears.
No homes left to keep warm,
No shelter to brace against the storm.
No shelter to brace against the storm.
No mourns are heard,
No tears were shed.
It clearly shows
No tears were shed.
It clearly shows
Humanity is dead.
Come forward, children of the world,
You have to realise the reality.
Lend your voice, show your strength,
Together, resurrect the dead HUMANITY.
You have to realise the reality.
Lend your voice, show your strength,
Together, resurrect the dead HUMANITY.
